Jaco Beach is a popular jump-off point for surfers traveling
to Costa Rica, since
it is only a two hour (approx) drive from San Jose.
You can get off the plane and
be surfing the same day, or move here and
just stumble out of your bed and walk
to the beach.
Jaco is very close to Hermosa and Playa Escondido - two
breaks that
consistently have excellent surf.
Jaco is one of the most bustling beach/surf towns in Costa
Rica. There are
several bars and Discos and the restaurants always seem
to have an old surf
video in the VCR. Very surfer friendly!
